Tecan pioneered the use of photo chemical machining (etching) — an innovative, photolithography-based process that was developed as an off-shoot from the manufacture of printed circuit boards.

Since 1970, we’ve been based here on the UK’s South Coast as Weymouth and Portland have a long naval heritage which originally attracted a thriving electronics industry. Electronics need precision components.
Operating from a purpose-built facility, Tecan’s in-house capability also includes laser cutting and welding as well as precision component forming and high-quality metal finishing.
