£5,875.90 raised for Kingfisher Ward, SCBU and The Children’s Centre at Dorset County Hospital

Following a successful campaign at Christmas when #TeamTecan donated a quantity of toys, art supplies and other equipment to The Children’s Centre, Kingfisher Ward Dorset County Hospital and the Dorchester Special Care Baby Unit at Dorset County Hospital (DCH), we are delighted to have raised a further £5,875.90 through the IDEX Foundation to support vital projects and help enhance care for young patients.

With your ongoing support we will continue to make our hospital the best it can be, helping our dedicated staff to provide our patients, their families and our community with the healthcare and support they need, now and in the future.

Simon Pearson MCIOF, Head of Charity, Dorset County Hospital

Julia Doyle, HR Manager and Mark Hanger, Quality Assurance Engineer presented the cheque to Victoria Hunt, Fundraising Officer, Dorset County Hospital Charity along with representatives from The Children’s Centre, Kingfisher Ward and the Dorchester Special Care Baby Unit.

Mark says, My involvement with DCH started with the Royal British Legion and local southwest bike groups, raising money for charities including DCH throughout the year. Over the past few months, staff have donated presents and baby items, (a big THANK YOU! to all who supported this cause) and we successfully applied to the IDEX Foundation for additional funds.

We believe in improving the communities in which we live and work, and recently doubled our commitment through the IDEX Foundation.

We see this work as an integral part of our mission to improve lives. A charitable giving organisation, the IDEX Foundation engages local teams of employees in creating value and improving the communities in which we live and operate.
