CpK refers to a statistical tool used in manufacturing to measure how well a process can produce output within a specified tolerance range.

It helps:

  • identify process improvements for increased efficiency and quality
  • act as a proof point to assess a process’s abilty to consistently produce components within defined limits, taking into account both process variability and how close the process is to the target value.

A CpK value above 1 indicates a process is likely capable of meeting the specifications.

We calculate etching allowances for each and every component to help achieve optimum CpK values.  This minimises variation across the blank and across the production run. We work with customers requiring 1.33 and above and we constantly strive to reach a value of 2.0.
